Know Your
Short Game.
Nine short-game stations. Par 18. One clear rating that tells you where you actually stand.
Play a round in about 25 minutes, score every station from 10m to 80m plus a bunker shot, and watch your short game develop round by round.
iPhone only at launch. No Android version is planned yet.

Most golfers guess at their short game. PAR-18 measures it.
A PAR-18 round is the same every time you play it, so your results are comparable week to week. Nothing is estimated and nothing is inferred from your scorecard — you record what actually happened at each station.
The round
Nine stations, par 2 each
Eight distance stations from 10m to 80m, plus a bunker shot. Two shots to hole out at each one — nine holes, par 18, roughly 25 minutes.
The score
One tap per station
Hole Out, Par, Bogey, Double, Triple or Pick Up — plus putts and distance left to the pin, so proximity is tracked as well as strokes.
The rating
A number you can follow
Your rounds roll up into a PAR-18 rating with consistency and up & down alongside it. It is a measure of your short game, not a handicap.
How it works
A round takes about 25 minutes
- 1Start a solo roundOpen Play and start a round. The nine stations are always the same, so every round is directly comparable.
- 2Play the stations10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m, 60m, 70m, 80m and a bunker shot. Play them in any order the app allows and tap the tile to score.
- 3Record the resultChoose a score for the station, then add putts taken and how far you left the ball from the pin.
- 4Finish the roundYou get total strokes, differential to par 18, up & down percentage and a round ability score for that session.
- 5Watch it developYour PAR-18 rating updates, the round joins your history, and Insights start showing where the strokes are going.

Scoring a station
Each station is par 2. Your score is how many shots it took to hole out, capped at a pick up.
- 1Hole Out
- 2Par
- 3Bogey
- 4Double
- 5Triple
- 6Pick Up
Your rating
One number for your short game
Every completed round produces a round ability score. Those rounds build your PAR-18 rating, shown alongside consistency and your up & down percentage.
- Provisional first
- Until you have five completed rounds, your rating is provisional — it is still finding your level and can move sharply.
- Then established
- With enough rounds behind it, the rating settles and starts responding to genuine changes in form rather than a single good day.
- Not a handicap
- The PAR-18 rating measures short-game performance in the PAR-18 format. It is not affiliated with, or equivalent to, any official handicap system.
